Luminaria Duplicate
Empower’s luminaria events are an inspirational display of personalized luminaria bags honoring loved ones, with a candle or light inside illuminating the bag’s text. Each luminaria bag, purchased by donors from around the globe for a suggested $25 donation is uniquely displayed in honor of or in memory of your loved ones. Hundreds of volunteers and donors come together to create each public display. What started along the coast of Boston in 2020 now takes place in various cities across the country.
All proceeds raised at Luminaria directly fund our year-round events and mentorship program, which remind children that they are not alone in their grief and that loss is survivable.
Empower luminaria events raise critical operating funds, and equally as important, promote awareness to families that will benefit from our life-changing programs. 100% of funds raised by luminaria events ensure that these programs remain at no cost to the family.

Support Empower
For a suggested $25 donation per luminaria bag, your loved one’s luminaria bag will be uniquely displayed by volunteers across the country. Additionally, donors will receive a memorable keepsake video of the display.

Handwritten luminaria bags purchased in memory of or in honor of a loved one are an inspiring expression of our community — the events are also an important way to build awareness of Empower’s mission.
