LUMINARIA is a heartfelt display of luminary bags uniquely displayed by volunteers IN MEMORY OF or IN HONOR OF our loved ones. Hosted at sunset, LUMINARIA brings thousands of people together for a moving tribute.
Since 2020, LUMINARIA has brought love and connection to 10 cities across the country, made possible by thousands of volunteers, families, and supporters who believe as we do that no child should grieve alone.
This year, LUMINARIA will be held at the Old Scituate Lighthouse (just 30 miles south of Boston) on Friday, May 8th in Scituate, MA, where Empower was founded and LUMINARIA first began. ✨
The heart of LUMINARIA remains unchanged: coming together as a caring community to honor loved ones and hold space for remembrance.
Supporters from near and far are warmly invited to purchase a luminaria bag for $25! We invite you to join thousands of onlookers and be part of the magic, however, if you can’t attend in person, your dedication and your light will be part of the evening.
100% of proceeds support Empower programs and help ensure all activities remain at no charge to the family.
