3 teen boys

The Empower Father’s Day event took place at Gillette Stadium and was a day filled with fun activities, games, food – and even special guests!  The event welcomed children and young adults up through age 24 who have experienced father loss.

At Empower, we know that Father’s Day can be a difficult day, and perhaps the weeks leading up to the day are tough, too.  Kids can find “relief from grief” and meet others who can relate to the loss of a father.

2024 Event

Date: Sunday, June 9th

Time: 11am – 4pm

Location: Gillette Stadium, Home of the New England Patriots

  • Attendees:  We anticipate 50+ girls, boys, and nonbinary youth up through 24 from across New England, many of whom will be meeting for the first time!  Some children are nervous to attend, but we’ve got it covered with a warm welcome by our Empower Volunteers.
  • Chaperones: All of our Chaperones are men and women who can relate to the loss of a father, many of whom are serving as Mentors for our organization.
  • Special Guests:  Our amazing facilitators are men and women who feel as we do that no child should grieve alone.  Stay tuned for updates on our special guests for the day!

SPECIAL GUEST: Brian Moller aka B Mo the Prince

Brian Moller, known as B Mo the Prince, is a Boston native who transitioned from a career in Finance to pursue his passion for entertainment. Initially working at a local radio station, he invested his earnings to buy On-Air time. His dedication paid off when he joined HOT 96.9 in Boston as a street teamer, eventually earning overnight air time.

Brian’s first significant break came as an On-Air Personality at 103.3 AMP Radio in Boston. Seeking to diversify his skills, he took DJ and improv comedy classes, establishing a successful DJ business and incorporating his comedic talents into his content creation.

In early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to the closure of AMP Radio, leaving Brian jobless and unable to DJ due to social distancing. Adapting to the circumstances, he turned to TikTok, where his comedy sketches garnered over 3 million followers across platforms and recognition from The Boston Globe, Funny or Die, and NBC10 Boston.

Brian bravely shared his story of father loss when he was in the 5th grade, and we are so proud to know him and welcome him as our special guest for this year’s Father’s Day Event.
